One spring morning as a large brute by the name of Hades stood over a lioness called Fury, a new life was born as the calming breeze
whipped through the air. A new dark brown Arkane Leo was brought
into the world of rogues. Right from birth, the young soul mirrored
a feisty tone as well as attitude. Seeing this rowdy nature from
the start, the tiny lioness’ parents titled her ‘Kikao’, meaning
attitude, fit her just perfectly. Her dark brown pelt, followed by
a hard tanned undertone blanketed her façade lined by black rimmed
ears, tail tip, and a family trait of a swirl markings flowing up
her tail tip. Kikao was strangely born with her crystal blue pools
open as they shined with a deep yearning for adventure.
As time passed, Ki’s fiery side grew as well as her feisty nature.
As a teen, Kikao roamed off from the band of rogues, including her
parents, and this enraged her father. Fury found Ki’s wild spirit
good for her as it made her more defensive and protective, and in
that her mother found peace knowing her only daughter to be safe
from possible harm of the other brutes. None of the rogues could
figure out where Kikao’s wild tone came from as her mother was
settled until necessary to be otherwise, while Hades did hold a
more battle-ready demeanor. When it became impossible for any of
them to control the teen, Ki was dismissed from the rogue
sanctuary.
As Ki progressed in age to a fine young lioness a pain kept tugging at her midsection. She eventually decided to visit a shaman and determine the cause. A wise old medicine lion looked her over and
pinpointed the cause. “At no point in your life Kikao,…will you be
able to bare offspring.” He would utter. The old silvered brute
tried as hard as he could to stress the message that if she were
to try anyway that the possibility of death was great. At his
announcement and warning, Ki simply hissed in defiance,
“Nothing has stopped me from what I wanted to do in the past,
and I’m not going to allow it to start happening now.” She would
snarl as her icy pools contracted to mere slits. Though Kikao was
a very strong willed and proud lioness, the thought of not being a
mother did trouble her, but being the stubborn femora she was…
Ki pressed on.
Eventually, Kikao wondered upon a vast land, lush and plentiful. It held everything she desired in a new home away from her birth land.
An abundance of land that she could explore to her satisfaction,
little did she know, this land was already home to a strong,
muscular brute by the name of Runo. Ki was able to explore the
land and feed as she pleased for some time before her presence was
ever truly discovered. One breeze filled day, the large brute
was patrolling his territory as he happened upon the scent of an
unknown individual that had been lurking about his home.
Runo tracked down this lilac filled aroma and found the presence
of Kikao at the river. His gaze fell upon her elegant petite
façade as the breeze softly rippled through her tawny pelt. Though,
meeting and getting to know Ki of course would never be that easy.
Months passed with Runo trying to gain Kikao’s trust and failed many
times as the fiery lioness would become defensive and fight back.
Rather than be thrown off by her aggression, Runo found it
appealing and quite inviting to him. With time, Runo was able to
get closer and closer to Kikao as her trust towards him grew to the
point where he could finally speak with her. As the lioness’ icy
pools sparkled from the moon’s rays while softly lying upon the
gaze of the brute, Runo would finally speak to the one who had
managed to gain his attention so deeply. “What is your name?” he
would inquire of her, his gaze longing to know of her.
“I am Kikao.” She would answer, a light purr escaping her maw as
she replied to the male who had followed after her, so persistent,
strong, and determined. ‘Kikao..’ he would repeat within the safety
of his yearning mind. A smile flowed over Runo’s muzzle as he gazed
at her, longing for her to be by his side. A few weeks passed and
the bond between Runo and Kikao had become great, the lioness’ façade
caressed the muscular frame of the brute as they spent more and
more time together. On a summer day, Ki and Runo relaxed at the
river, turning his gaze to the femora Runo took a breathe and began
to speak. “Kikao, I have something to ask of you.” He would
announce. “Yes Runo, what is it?” she would answer, a soft smile
embracing her muzzle. “I want you to become my Queen and be by my
side.” He stated gazing to her warmly. Ki shifted and grazed her
crown at the brute’s neck as purrs emitted from her maw.
“I would be happy to Runo.” She replied gently licking the
brute’s muzzle.
With that, Kikao became Runo’s beloved and the time came that Ki
wanted a family. She decided to inform Runo of what the shaman had
told her in the past but insisted on trying anyway. Runo, wary of
the idea at first refused, not wanting the possible loss of Kikao.
With time, Ki wore him down and they tried for cubs. In time, Kikao
became pregnant on the whim of a miracle and bore one daughter
named Dawn. Dawn held all the elegance and attitude that her
mother held. Time passed and Dawn became a teen, the three still
residing in Runo’s territory happily. However, Dawn is forever
watched by the protective icy gaze of her mother Kikao as she
awaits the possible suitors that will soon come and beckon for her
daughter…quietly Ki waits for one brave brute to get the courage
and come for her dear Dawn.
